Types of Yoga
Ebyan incorporates Classical Indian Temple Dance techniques, mudras, and philosophy in all her yoga offerings. Most classes offered also include guided meditation, shamanic breadthwork, and tribal flow.
Gentle Tribal Flow: This class is great for beginners. We will explore some of the basic postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditations (dyana) that make up Hatha Yoga. No experience or 'flexibility' is necessary, just a willingness to open and play.
Tribal Vinyasa I: In this class you will learn deeper/more complex variations and hybrids of all the categories of yoga poses (standing poses, inversions, twists, backbends, arm balances, etc.). The emphasis is on the continuity of your awareness, integration of your body, mind, and spirit through dance-like sequences. Longer meditations will be offered.
Yin Yoga: The focus in Yin is to balance and tone the connective tissue of our body while exploring the internal terrain. You will clear out energetic blockages with long slowly held postures resulting in free flowing energy.
